Tesla is looking for an experienced Parts Advisor to work on one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. This position requires a significant amount of interaction with both internal and external customers, so the ideal candidate will not only possess the customer service acumen, but also the ability to provide a basic level of technical support. The primary goal of the Parts Advisor is to provide necessary Parts to support both the Tesla Approved Bodyshop (TAB) network and 3rd party (non-
) Bodyshop’s. It’s the Parts Advisors responsibility to ensure all Bodyshop quotes and orders are processed in a timely manner, liaise with warehouse and logistics partners, and provide backup support on parts technical and supply issues.
Body shop parts interpretation using electronic parts catalogue and other resources.
Assist with inventory control to maintain stock levels necessary for body shop supply, including review of relevant repair procedures.
Technical and product support for all parts issues within the body shop business
Quote, order and transact inventory to support the needs of partner body shops.
Answer phone calls, emails and in-person customer enquiries with the highest level of response and attention.
Communicate estimated parts ship and arrival time, including providing updates on backordered parts.
Accurately record parts transactions and data into Dealer Management System – attention to detail critical.
Follow up with customers on parts order and ensure complete satisfaction with the order.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of parts, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles, including automotive equipment and body repair methods.
Dealer business process and best practice, and the ability to implement and adapt processes as necessary
Experience with DMS Systems and MS Office Suite.
1-3 years’ experience in the automotive industry, ideally in a parts and/or body shop environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to follow instructions required.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public.
Maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearance as a parts advisor.
Degree or Certificate from a University or TAFE program in Automotive Technology a plus.
Dealer automotive service experience will be highly regarded.
