On joining, every member makes a legally binding pledge to donate a percentage of their personal proceeds to charity when they liquidate shares. Since launching in 2015, the Founders Pledge community has collectively raised $995 million for social causes, and donated $360 million. Spanning 30 countries and 1100 members, it includes the people behind industry leading companies including Wework, Deepmind, Skype, Spotify, Uber, and Planet.

With our rapid growth, we’re looking for a Head of Brand to elevate Founders Pledge to the next level within the philanthropy, academic, and tech sectors. We’re looking for a master storyteller with strong understanding and passion for brand building. Your primary responsibility will be to continue to bring our mission to life with a focus on improving awareness, engagement, and impact.
Develop and implement a multi-year, cross-sector brand strategy to increase overall brand awareness, reputation and further our mission to empower entrepreneurs to do immense good
Lead global PR efforts to increase and enhance brand awareness, delivering results in the form of press coverage, articles and speaking engagements
Conduct all media relations. Develop new relationships and build on existing relationships with journalists, thought-leaders and influencers
Oversee a measurable and effective content marketing strategy, leveraging our research, insights, and member testimonials to increase brand awareness and trust in the tech and social sectors
Acquire extensive expertise on the global philanthropic marketplace; compile, analyse and manage competitive, market and industry knowledge to lead brand strategy and effective messaging
At least 5 yrs of exceptional experience in senior communications /brand leadership; ideally gained in technology, philanthropy, and/or advocacy/social impact organisations
Extensive network of journalists, particularly within tech and high-end lifestyle publications, though philanthropy/social sector network also a plus
You are a master storyteller with a strong understanding of how to adapt our messages and stories for different audiences, ideally with first-hand experience from both the tech/startup and social sector
Lead and develop the communications team (2 ppl), ensuring individual progression, growth and impact Highly creative with the demonstrated ability to lead, ideate, and execute impactful and memorable brand and creative campaigns
Experience working in a fast-pace, accelerated growth environmentImmaculate English; ability to localise text based on culture and geography; Other European languages would be a great advantage, but not a necessity
