We are looking for a QA Tech Lead to work closely with our software and QA engineers to define, own and drive our QA strategy for the apps as well as for our SDKs. Our aim is to ship excellent quality products but at the same time we want to be able to move quickly, iterate and ship software continuously.
About the Consumer Apps team
The consumer apps team at Babylon consists of Android, iOS and Web Engineers. We look after the Babylon Apps as well as a set of Babylon SDKs (which allow third party companies to integrate Babylon functionality into their own apps). Each team has dedicated QA engineers who work closely to the software engineers to make sure all the new functionality and changes are tested. As the team grows, our product evolves and more external partners are looking to use our SDKs, we need to upscale our QA strategy and automation frameworks to make sure our processes can take us to the next level of scale.
What matters most?
Experience assuring the quality of a complex product, ideally in a team who is responsible for both apps and SDKs
Experience with mobile and web testing frameworks.
Experience of working with multiple teams to understand the best approach to testing and owning the testing strategy
Experience managing a small team of automation engineers
Define, own and drive the testing strategy for the Babylon Apps and the Babylon SDKs
Review test plans and test cases to ensure good coverage of our tests
Mentor and manage a small team of Automation QA Engineers
Work with the Software Engineers to improve the whole software development lifecycle and build process
Salary Range: £80,000 – £95,000 per annum
