Quality Specialist DACH
Tesla Energy is searching for a dynamic and results focused individual to perform quality assurance and training for Tesla Energy. The individual will be focused on the Tesla Certified Installers network in the DACH region; performing audits, installer training and safety reviews of Powerwall and solar installations.
The Quality specialist reports to the DACH Quality Manager and is part of the wider EMEA Quality team. The role is primarily focused on Germany, but is expected to cover the wider DACH region. The role requires extensive travelling to perform audits and training – it is expected that travelling will be required for approximately 70% of the time.
Perform audits of the installations made by Tesla Certified Installers:
Identify any quality issues – providing installers with constructive feedback and, where necessary, corrective action requests
Ensure that installations conform to national and local codes
Ensure installations are in-line with Tesla instructions, procedures and policies
Support building and maintaining a metrics package that enables ongoing measurement and visibility of installation quality.
Leverage available data and field feedback to track quality-related trends and determine appropriate corrective action or remediation.
Facilitate, support and assist with the development of training:
Ensure training is consistent with the company goals, values, and culture
Select the best facilitation and execution methods to ensure the highest impact while remaining cost-effective
Coordinate with IT and other departments on necessary technology improvements or devices to enhance the training experience
Support the development of the Quality Inspection Program allowing the business to measure installation quality.
Provide feedback from audits to various internal departments to reduce installation issues, reduce the time for installation and improve the customer experience
Degree in electrical engineering or qualified electrical technician
Minimum of 3 years of Solar PV/Energy Storage or relevant industry experience
Understanding of PV electrical and energy storage fundamentals as well as construction principles
Detailed knowledge of the relevant electrical codes and regulations
Knowledge of the health and safety rules and best practices applied in the industry
Fluency in both written and spoken German and English
Proven experience in technical training
Proven experience in a related industry with quality as a function of the role
Detail-oriented, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities
Excellent facilitation, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to positively and effectively interact with internal and external customers
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
Ability to be able to travel (“on the road”) for ~70% of the time
A full driving license for at least 2 years
