Tesla is looking for a Software Program Manager to own and
drive delivery of outstanding firmware and software for our residential energy
products, including Powerwall, Solar, and Solar Roof. The right candidate has a
proven track record of planning and executing multiple parallel complex
programs and will
understand the scope of firmware and software system development. They will have
experience leading large cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional product
performance and customer experience. In addition, they will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
to define the product roadmap, and will own the execution of that roadmap. The
position is part of the Energy Products Engineering team.
You must have a genuine passion for engineering products

Lead short and long term development projects
including requirements definition, application architecture, UI design,
implementation, automated quality testing, continuous deployment, and field
Facilitate and project manager partnerships with key groups such as Product Management, Marketing, Executives, Customer Technical Support, Service Engineering, System Test and Firmware/Software development teams, and other partner engineering teams.
Manage and resolve conflict with an ability to
influence cross-functional teams while managing multiple simultaneous projects
with competing priorities.
Create detailed and frequently aggressive
schedules and deliver to commitments with an ability to see all
inter-dependencies for every deliverable and milestone. Identify key critical
path areas in the schedule and monitor resolution and overall project impact.
